I built LockinTown because I focus best when someone else is working next to me, and video calls felt like too much. So I made a little town instead.
How it works:
ā¢ Make a cute chibi character
ā¢ Walk into a room (library, cafe, classroom, sleeper train) and sit at a free desk
ā¢ Set a goal, start the timer, and work next to everyone else who's locked in
There's no camera and no microphone, just quiet company. It runs in the browser, and phone apps are next.
I'd love honest feedback: what's confusing, what's missing, which room you'd want next. I'll be here all day replying to every comment š¦«
Do the other people at the desks see the goal I set, or is that private?

Good question! Right now it's visible, not private. People in your room can see the current focus you type for a session, next to your name in the room's people list and on your player card.
It's optional though. Leave it blank and they'll only see your session tag (like "Study") and your timer. Your school and location stay private.
Would you want a private option? I'd love to know what you'd keep hidden.
