Lock In & Win: Self-accountability app

Hello everyone, I am the creator of the Lock In App. I was at a low point of my life when the concept of this app came to me. I was lagging behind in my studies and health so I devised a simple challenge - I gave my brother a small sum of money to hold, and I told him that if by the end of the month my grades don't go up he can keep the money. It wasn't a lot but enough for me to not be able to afford some of the finer things in life for a while. The first month didn't quite work, I wasn't really content with myself so I told him to keep it. My performance wasn't really that bad but I didn't put in the dedication I had initially set for myself, so I punished myself and didn't get the money back - being honest to yourself is important. The next month I actually felt more motivated than ever. It was like "Hey, I am doing this for real. No backing down. Good times have to be deserved". I put in the necessary work and eventually everything took a turn for the better. I recognized the importance of self-accountability and honesty in my journey - as they say, 'truth will set you free', but I can't deny that my desire to prove to myself that I am worthy of my lunch by working for it also played a part.
