Most directory sites mean WordPress plugin sprawl or a SaaS you rent forever. LocalFinds is an Astro 6 + Airtable + Cloudflare template you own outright. Edit one config file to re-skin it for restaurants, salons, gyms - any vertical. Fast, cheap to host, no lock-in.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Matt, and I built LocalFinds because I kept hitting the same wall: every "best X in [Location]" directory meant either a WordPress build I'd have to babysit through endless plugin updates, or a directory SaaS I'd be renting forever.
So I built the thing I actually wanted - a clean Astro 6 + Tailwind v4 codebase that uses Airtable as a friendly CMS and deploys to Cloudflare for next to nothing. The part I'm proudest of: nothing in the code says "restaurant."
It's all generic primitives, Items, Taxonomies, Tiers, and the entire vertical lives in one config file. Change a few labels, rename your Airtable tables, and the same codebase becomes a hairdresser directory, a mechanic finder, a gym guide. A full conversion walkthrough is included.
It ships as a real, deployed Sunshine Coast restaurant guide so you can see exactly what you're getting. There's a live demo (no signup) and full docs you can read before buying.
It's a developer's template, you'll use the command line to set it up, but day-to-day content editing is all Airtable, no code.
I'd love your feedback, especially on the docs and the config approach. What vertical would you point it at first?
