Hello, Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Jonatan Bjork, the founder of Llongterm, and I’m thrilled to introduce our latest project: Llongterm—a memory layer for generative AI. What does it do? Llongterm addresses one of the biggest challenges in AI: the inability to remember. With our API, developers can give AI applications the power to retain context, recall past interactions, and deliver truly personalized user experiences. Why did I build Llongterm? While working on Distant, a relationship co-pilot powered by generative AI, I kept running into the same frustrating problem: AI resets after every interaction, as though it’s meeting the user for the first time. This lack of continuity makes it difficult to create meaningful, personalized experiences. I also realized that building memory from scratch was a massive engineering challenge, requiring significant time and resources. That’s why I created Llongterm: to make persistent memory easy and accessible for developers, so they can focus on building incredible user experiences without reinventing the wheel. Our mission is simple: to help developers unlock the next level of AI—where conversations are personal, interactions are continuous, and trust is built over time. What Problems Does Llongterm Solve?
