It’s a simple LLM workspace that runs directly on an iPad, without requiring a Mac or complex server configurations. While many web UIs are difficult to navigate on touch devices, I aimed to create an experience that feels similar to using a native app by running it on iPadOS. Key highlights: • Touch-native gestures (pinch-to-copy code) • Turn any URL to Markdown via Jina Reader • Auto-export chats to localmd files (Obsidian-ready) • 100% private, BYO API keys
Hello, Product Hunt community! 👋
I built this because I wanted a simple, distraction-free LLM workspace that runs directly on an iPad—without requiring a Mac or complex server setup.
Why I built it: Many web UIs are difficult to use on touch devices. I was looking for a tool that felt as seamless as a native Apple app, gave me full control over my privacy (especially chat logs), and fit perfectly into modern PKM and note-taking workflows.
Key Features:
💬 iPadOS-native feel: An extremely clean and visually minimalist UI inspired by Apple’s iMessage.
🤏 Pinch-in to copy: Instantly capture code blocks and tables with intuitive touch gestures.
🌐 Built-in web scraping: Integrates with Jina Reader to convert any URL on the spot (with live editing) into clean Markdown for prompts.
📝 Automatic export to .md: Chat content is automatically saved as local Markdown files (optimized for Obsidian and Logseq).
🚪 Seamless session management: Easily switch between chat rooms using iOS’s standard “Files” app picker.
🔒 100% local and private: Runs entirely within a-Shell on your iPad. No telemetry or tracking whatsoever. You can use your own keys (Gemini and Jina AI).
We look forward to your thoughts, feedback, and questions!
