I built LiveIssues because of my own frustration. Earlier this year I was preparing for GSoC and wanted to contribute to open source, but I kept getting stuck at the same step: finding an org, and then finding an issue I could actually work on. I'd spend evenings going through GitHub org by org, and by the time I found something interesting, someone had already taken it.
So I built the tool I wished existed. It reads the languages and tools in your GitHub, asks what you care about in a quick onboarding, and maps both to unassigned issues you can pick up right now. You can also track multiple orgs in one place instead of checking repos one by one.
The best validation: it's how I discovered MLLAM, an org I'd never have found scrolling GitHub. I now have my first open PR with them.
