We all know what we should be doing. We just keep picking up the phone. Little Sisyphus is a focus app as unforgiving as the original story. When you start a session, your screen transforms into a live climb — and if you walk away early, you don't just lose today, you lose your entire lifetime elevation rank. Built for people who consider themselves disciplined, but are ready to stop losing to free dopamine.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I’ve built and released many apps over the years, but this time I built something to solve a very personal, embarrassing problem.
Whenever my mind wandered at my desk, I’d subconsciously grab my phone. I wouldn't even realize I was scrolling until I’d already lost 30 minutes.
I’ve never been able to take standard focus timers seriously. Pomodoro, physical timers, app blockers — my brain just negotiated right past them. So I built Little Sisyphus around three core psychological triggers that force you to stay locked in:
"Visual White Noise": A continuous animation occupies your screen so your phone stops begging for your attention.
Loss Aversion: Quit a session early, and your lifetime elevation rank drops back to zero.
Social Proof: A shared global ranking of everyone who is pushing their own boulder, proving you aren't the only one grinding.
It turns out these mind games work even when you know they’re being played on you.
All of this is wrapped in a high-contrast aesthetic drawn from ancient myth. It looks beautiful sitting on your desk while Little Sisyphus pushes alongside you — both of you getting the work done regardless of circumstance.
