Lirivo is a text-to-speech iPhone app for turning PDFs, text files, Markdown, and notes into saved audio. Use built-in voices immediately, listen offline, or bring your own Azure/Google account for cloud voices, with credentials kept in iOS Keychain.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Jeff, the maker of Lirivo.
Lirivo is an iPhone app for turning documents into audio. It supports PDFs, text files, Markdown, and notes, and can use either built-in iPhone voices or a cloud voice provider you connect yourself.
The basic use case is familiar: sometimes it is easier to listen through a long document than to read it on a screen. The part I wanted to handle differently is the model around voices, generated audio, and provider choice.
Many apps in this space already have good voices. Lirivo takes a more client-like approach: the app handles document import, audio generation, local storage, and playback, while voice choice can stay closer to the provider layer.
You can use Apple's built-in voices without setting up anything. If you want cloud voices, you can connect your own Azure or Google account. Provider credentials are stored in iOS Keychain, and usage is tied to your provider account rather than to a separate voice-credit subscription inside Lirivo.
That is probably most useful for people who care about voice quality, longer generated audio, provider pricing, or keeping the setup under their own control. It is also fine to ignore the cloud part completely and just use the app with built-in voices.
I'll keep an eye on the thread and would especially like to hear from people who already use text-to-speech apps for PDFs, reports, study material, or long notes.
