🚀 Why I Built Link Shield Every day, the web is flooded with malicious links—phishing sites, throwaway domains, cloaked redirects, and malware hidden behind trusted platforms like Dropbox, GitHub Pages, Cloudflare, or even URL shorteners. I kept seeing the same problem repeatedly: companies were relying on users to report scams, which are always a step behind attackers. I built Link Shield because I wanted a smarter, real-time way to protect people and apps from harmful links before they’re clicked. Smarter Detection: Instead of just checking domains, Link Shield follows redirects, analyzes structure, and scores URLs (0–100) for malicious potential. Lightweight API: Designed for developers to easily plug into any app, CMS, or security workflow. Proactive Security: Helps prevent phishing, scams, and reputation damage from user-generated links. At its core, Link Shield exists because trust online is broken—and I wanted to create a tool that helps restore it.
