Alfred van der Heide
šŸ‘‹ Hey Product Hunt! I'm Alfred, founder of Linguadrop. The Problem I'm Solving After trying every language learning app out there, I realized they all had the same issue: they teach you a language, but not how to actually USE it. You end up fluent in ordering coffee but lost when reading a news article or having a real conversation. How Linguadrop Works Instead of gamified lessons, Linguadrop delivers daily news articles in your target language: šŸ“° Real Content: Actual news from around the world, not made-up sentences šŸŽÆ Personalized: Choose your level (A1-C2), topics (tech, sports, culture, etc.), and frequency šŸŒ 61 Languages: Learn any language from any other language (3,660 combinations!) ⚔ Instant Context: Click any word for translations and explanations šŸ“§ Daily Drops: Delivered to your inbox, no app addiction required Why This Approach Works This is how native speakers maintain fluency - they read. By reading content you actually care about, you: - Learn vocabulary in context (not isolated flashcards) - Understand grammar naturally (not through memorization) - Build cultural knowledge (not just language) - Stay motivated (because the content is interesting!) ## Try It Free 7-day Pro trial, no credit card required: https://linguadrop.com I'll be here all day answering questions! Ask me anything about language learning, the tech behind Linguadrop, or why I think news-based learning is the future. šŸš€ P.S. If you've ever felt stuck at "intermediate" in a language, Linguadrop was built for you.

@alfredvdheideĀ Does it work offline as well?

Alfred van der Heide

@masumpĀ Thanks for the comment, No it does not since it uses recent news articles. But some sort of offline support could be added :)

Planning to move to Portugal soon and Linguadrop has been helping me learn more complex vocabulary that I have yet to reach in Duolingo. Also the topics are interesting and related to what I got to select during the onboarding. Very cool concept!

Alfred van der Heide

@popovidisnikĀ  Thanks a lot, Nikolay! šŸ‡µšŸ‡¹ That’s exactly what Linguadrop was built for — helping learners move beyond the basics and actually understand real-world content. I’m really glad it’s helping you pick up advanced vocabulary before your move! šŸ’ŖšŸ“š
