Hello. I'm Michael, and I make Lineplate from Glasgow.
It turns a STEP assembly into the line drawings you'd put in a manual or a parts sheet: exact hidden lines, worked out from the CAD geometry rather than traced from a render, exploded views, and SVG, vector PDF or PNG out.
Two things make it different from the other tools here:
1. It runs in your browser. The geometry kernel is Open CASCADE compiled to WebAssembly, so your CAD file is never uploaded. That matters to anyone working under an NDA.
2. The free plan is the real thing: drawings up to 250 parts, no account, no watermark. Pro adds balloons and parts lists, step-by-step manuals and revision updates, at £49 a month with a 14-day free trial.
What it doesn't do: interactive 3D, animation, or reading native CAD formats. Export a STEP first.
If a file draws badly, I'd like to see it. That's the feedback that helps most.
