Linear Standup adds a non-intrusive top bar to linear.app that randomizes the speaking order for your team's daily standup — no separate app, no tab switching. It auto-detects your active team cycle, shuffles members with one click, and re-shuffles instantly. Everything runs locally in your browser — no accounts, no backend, no data collection. Perfect for agile teams who want a quick, fair way to decide who goes first every morning.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built Linear Standup to scratch a small but daily itch. Every morning my team plays the same game: "who wants to go first?" → silence → someone reluctantly volunteers. Multiply that awkward 10 seconds by 250 working days and it adds up.
I wanted a fix that lives where we already work — inside Linear — instead of yet another tab, bot, or app to install for the whole team.
So Linear Standup is a tiny Chrome extension that:
• Injects a non-intrusive top bar into linear.app
• Auto-detects your active team cycle
• Randomly shuffles the speaking order with one click
• Re-shuffles instantly if someone joins late
• Runs 100% locally — no accounts, no backend, no data collection
It's free and lightweight. Would love your feedback, and especially ideas for what to add next:
– Per-speaker timer?
– Round-robin / weighted mode?
– Excluding people who are out?
Let me know what would make this genuinely useful for your team 🙏
