Hey Hunters! I’m Jawuil.
With tools like Claude Code, OpenCode, or Pi out there, why build another agent?
For me, it came down to pure lightness. I was using CLI agents daily, but they were devouring all my RAM, leaving orphan processes, and pushing my laptop to its absolute limit just by having the agent, a browser, and a terminal open at the same time.
I remembered Sublime Text—the editor I learned to code on. I checked existing AI packages, but they were either basic Q&A chatbots or just wrappers inheriting the same CLI overhead.
So I built Limitcode from scratch: pure vanilla Python inside Sublime, running the agentic loop on an independent thread with throttled UI updates so your editor never freezes.
I kept the core pair-programming assistant open source on GitHub (https://github.com/Jawuilp/Limitcode), and built Limitcode Pro ($29 lifetime) for developers who want the full autonomous toolkit, subagents, and MCP servers directly inside Sublime.
I'd love your honest feedback! I'll be hanging out in the comments all day. 🚀
