Most people who try a dopamine detox last about 48 hours. Not because they lack willpower, but because restriction alone doesn't fix the underlying problem. Liminal is a neuroscience guided daily practice of short real-world rituals that gently retrain your brain's reward sensitivity over time. So ordinary life starts to feel rewarding again. Not through restriction. Not through passive consumption. Through consistent, intentional real world engagement.

I've tried the "just block TikTok" approach and it lasted about a week before I found another way to scroll. The idea of short real-world rituals that actually retrain how your brain responds to ordinary stuff is way more sustainable. The pharmacist background gives this a lot of credibility too. How do you keep people coming back to the app without it becoming another dopamine hit itself?
As someone who's been building a product solo for months - late nights, constant screen time, zero separation between work and life - this resonates hard. I literally forgot what it feels like to enjoy a walk without checking my phone every 2 minutes. The pharmacist angle gives this way more credibility than the usual "just meditate bro" apps. Downloading.
Congrats on building and launching! I'm happy to see a product that focuses on this topic developed by someone related to the medical industry. For me, uninstalling the apps I wanted to stop using worked; however, this didn't work for some of my friends - I'll share Liminal with them 🙌
