🚀 Hello Product Hunters!
We're super thrilled to introduce LimeOps today! After months of non-stop coding, we've developed a tool that can significantly reduce your AWS cloud costs in an instant. Our inspiration stemmed experiences managing cloud infrastructure and realizing how easy it was to waste cloud resources as our AWS bill got out of control. What began as a side project to trim down our own cloud bill evolved into a full fledged platform that others might also find invaluable.
Key Features:
💨 Frictionless: One-click setup
💰 Reduce your Bill: Provides insights on how to reduce your expenses
🔎 Discover waste: Find out what unused or underutilized resources are inflating your bill.
We'd be ecstatic if you could try it out and share your feedback.
A massive shoutout & thanks to the Product Hunt community.
Please share your thoughts, questions, or feedback in the comments. Happy hunting!

Sounds good and makes hunters want to click on it. But, I don't know if it's just for information or if it can actually save you money using AWS data. How do you compare to AWS analytics and optimization tools?
@kinzarra Great question. No doubt AWS provides great tools to analyze your resources, but these tools require expertise & time to go through the data and find out what's wrong. LimeOps cuts out this step and directly analyzes the data that AWS provides and gives actionable recommendations a user can implement to save money. LimeOps provides recommendations that those systems don't detect with the potential to grow based on user usecases. The best way is to try it out - integrate your AWS account and immediately see the savings it can provide. It's instantaneous and there's also a free plan - try it out.

@eyuel_molla thanks for you reply, I will try it 😃
Hey team! What about charging a $ of the savings? It will be fair. So more people would agree to use it.
It will also give you the motivation to save your users more.
@alexanderisora Thanks for the feedback. That's a great idea by the way, we have explored it. The product currently does not support a way to automatically charge a percentage of savings but our team is confident and willing to make custom pricing models to fit all our customers needs. Feel free to contact support@limeops.com or checkout our slack community to inquire further on pricing models you believe is fair. Thanks again.

Months ago, I was paying $30/month for AWS ec2. What percentage will this platform cut from the price per month?
@the_robogram Great question. LimeOps audits your account and finds ways to reduce your cost. This might be by identifying resources that you're not effectively using, suggesting better configurations or highlighting abandoned resources. It has a free plan, so feel free to try it out and see what we find. You never know until we scan it for the first time.

Had a chance to try the product while still in beta and found stuff that other cloud cost cutting solutions didn't find. Everything worked well and advice was useful
A genuine problem I face and have also seen with many other teams is that when a setup is running in prod, we do not like to touch is mindlessly. Reason - Customer experience should not hamper and a sudden change might affect various other inter-dependent micro services. Would love to understand how do you address this with your product so that prod is not affected.
@amit_arora That's a great question. One of the ways our system analyzes accounts is how effectively a resource is being utilized and suggests the optimal configuration for said resource, i.e. rightsizing, removal or re-configuration. Currently we do not analyze the complex interdependencies amongst microservices and instead provide recommendations based on the utility of the resource. For a demo and custom pricing based on the actionable savings we can provide, please contact sales@limeops.com
This sounds like a dream come true for anyone who has struggled with managing AWS costs. I'm particularly interested in the "instant cost reduction audits." Could you share more details on what exactly the audits cover? Do they also provide suggestions for architectural changes that could lead to long-term savings?

I would like to understand if it's real and how much you can cut the cost for a highly optimised AWS implementation. If you can share some case studies for us to strike the relevancy, we can be a prospective customer.
Right now, we are burning lots of money in spite of trying out all the tricks under the sun and within our access.
