@jculbertson We are different from have2have.it since we don't do revenue share or tie into the e-commerce part of your store. Your current process for selling and fulfilment won't change. We are a monthly subscription currently at 20USD/month. Our goal as a startup was to make something affordable for other startups.
@frankholdem@jculbertson I feel like you really should have just chosen a completely different name. With a look-a-like name you just come off as a look-a-like service
We basically allow you to curate the photos from Instagram into a wall of photos. Each photo can be tagged with product title/URLs so users can easily "shop the look" and get to your product pages. We currently have several e-commerce integrations (Shopify, Magento, Big Commerce and more coming) that pull in your product title/url so you can quickly tag IG photos based on keyword search. We are different from have2have.it since we don't do revenue share or tie into the e-commerce part of your store. Your current process for selling and fulfilment won't change. We simply provide a variety of ways for you to display your "shoppable" IG photos on any of your properties. All you have to do is point people to where they can shop your feed.
I love how @frankholdem and his partner developed this app. They run a consultancy, and kept getting the same request from customers. These clients wanted an Instagram gallery that actually linked to their products.
Instead of building a custom solution for each client, they built this web application.
@aarondfrancis Yes we are definitely more open. As you may know Like2Know.it asks your customers to connect their IG accounts with them in order to shop links via an email. We make the shoppable galleries open to all - no sign-up required.
You as the e-commerce site will also have to split revenue with Like2Know.it as well. We don't require any revenue split just a flat monthly fee.
I've been aggressively growing my instagram following for my consumer brand the last few months and have done a pretty good job of getting quality followers and high engagement, so am really interested in ways to turn engagement into conversion.
But, I don't think this solution really adds benefit for me.
My understanding is that for this to work, I need to replace the URL on my profile with the like2haveit URL... this then takes them to my profile/shop page on like2haveit, where my tagged photos appear, with the ability to buy.
For me, this doesn't work for 2 reasons:
1) I am giving up the ONLY place I have to link out to my site, to link out to yours.
2) If I'm going to link to a product page portfolio... why not just create one on my own online store? There's pretty much 0 benefit of me linking to your site over mine.
The closest I've seen so far to an option which really works for me in the instagram ecommerce space is the service where users could leave their e-mail to be sent an invoice for the product. But you'd never catch me publicly posting my e-mail address like that (even though it's probably out there in the spamosphere)
@rossdcurrie Good points. One reason people like to have the hosted Shoppable gallery version of our app is for the backlinks that it provides for SEO. However, we recognize the importance of branding and have two solutions for that. One, as part of the package we allow our hosted galleries to have custom domain (shopinsta.yourdomain.com). Second, we have our shoppable galleries available as an embeddable widget that you can place on your storefront or any of your properties. This way, you don't have to change your IG bio link and can promote the gallery within your site. All inclusive of the 20USD/month fee.
@frankholdem That makes it a little more palettable, if I can embed the widget in my online store (though honestly I'd still just recreate the experience using the Portfolio feature on my Woocommerce site)
On your landing page, it would probably be worth your time breaking-down the shopping process a bit more in "How it works". I had to go and look at Havetohaveit before I figured out how your site worked.
@rossdcurrie You are right about our landing page, we have a new one already in the works. If you can build your own portfolio gallery, that's great! However, our app is more interactive than a slideshow.
We automatically pull in your IG photos so you can tag one or more "hotspots" on each photo. These tags are like product links to go directly to your product pages - take a look here : http://like2have.ecodivabeauty.com (click on a photo, each photo can have 0 or more links). Plus, with the same app you can easily add your own #fanreel page that pulls in photos from your IG followers based on a #hashtag and tagging your IG account : http://www.ecodivabeauty.com/eco... Hope that helps explain us a little better. Best.
