How accurate is the sound ID compared to something like Merlin when there's a lot of background noise on a windy trail?
@neslihan125518 Hi! It's very similar to Merlin and supports every bird worldwide. The app only supports UK & Europe currently though. We do a lot of audio processing before analysis to remove external noise to boost the chance of identification.
Does the bird ID work offline during walks in spots without signal, or do I need to be connected for the sound and camera recognition to do their thing?
@melahatdeekson Hi! Audio identification works completely offline. The camera identification requires network though - but you can 'save for later' if you are offline.
How accurate is the sound ID when there's a bunch of birds calling at the same time, like in spring? Curious if it can actually pick out individual species or mostly just flags a general area.
