Hello Product Hunters! I'm Jemma, and together with my co-founder Will, we are glad to introduce you to our new project: Lemmi. Lemmi is an assistive text-to-speech (AAC) app that provides a tool for people who struggle with their speech (including autism, speech apraxia, and more). The app was originally designed in response to a loved one who developed aphasia. It has since been developed into an all-round communication tool that is ideal for anyone with a speech impairment. How does Lemmi work? 👄 Chat: Users can type their own words or select from over 500+ word and phrase options which the app will read out aloud. 😊 Personalise: Add unlimited custom words, sentences, and photos. The ability to add familiar faces and phrases can help provide visual prompts and bring the app to life. 🕛 Save time: Suggested word prompts are shown under the speech bar. These are automated phrases, or words that have been previously used in succession, and are a great way to keep conversations flowing. About us: We are a team of two - a software engineer, and business strategy and operations. Together we recently founded our parent company Jenix Technologies Ltd. A full-stack and mobile app development company based in the UK. Lemmi is our very first app, so we’d love to hear what you think.
