We’ve been improving the LearnKasts mobile experience across iOS and Android.
Learners can now move more comfortably between lessons, track course progress, join learning activities, and continue training from wherever they are.
For us, mobile learning is not simply shrinking the web experience onto a smaller screen. It means designing around how people actually learn when they are away from a desk.
We’re continuing to improve the experience around:
Course progress and lesson navigation
Video learning
Assessments
Notifications
Communities and discussions
Live learning
Learning across web and mobile
Our goal is simple: learning should move with the learner.
One challenge we've frequently encountered is that while a learner may have access to a course, they might not always have a fast or stable internet connection.
To address this, we have been improving our video delivery system by implementing adaptive streaming. This allows LearnKasts to deliver videos at various quality levels, tailored to each learner's connection.
Learners can choose from the following quality options:
- 1080p
- 720p
- 480p
- 360p
Additionally, they can use a Data Saver option when bandwidth is a concern.
This capability is especially important for the markets we are targeting. A great learning platform should not only enable educators to upload videos, but also ensure that those videos are practical for learners to watch.
A course is only useful if learners can actually consume it.
That is why we’ve been investing heavily in the LearnKasts mobile learning experience.
Our learner apps are available across iOS and Android, and we’ve now paired that experience with adaptive video streaming.
That means a learner can:
Open LearnKasts on mobile
→ Continue a course
→ Stream the lesson at a suitable quality
→ Reduce data usage when necessary
→ Keep progressing even when connectivity is not perfect
This may sound like infrastructure work, but it directly affects learning outcomes.
Buffering creates friction.
Friction leads to drop-off.
And drop-off affects completion.
We’re building LearnKasts around the entire learning experience, not just course creation.
