I believe this product is fundamental. Too often people die without any thought as to their end of life plan. Obviously deaths can be unexpected, but in the most part people should be prepared. Without preparation, tough decisions fall to family members that are even less prepared to tackle them, and often results in families falling apart. This is easily preventable when a product like Lantern exists to help navigate people through both pre-death preparation (as morbid as that may be), and to take the burden off family members post death. It is a full-service product that ensures everything is taken care of, so you don't have to worry about anything once you do pass, and to know your family is being taken care of too. I think what Liz and Alyssa have created with Lantern is an innovative product that will be essential for people dealing with life before and after death.

I'm glad someone is bringing this to light and starting a conversation. I have a great friend who works in Hospice (10 years) and she's had a newsletter for years. There may be synergy if you wanted to be connected..

Lantern is a necessary product! I wish we had it when my stepdad passed a few years ago, but I know it will be helpful for the future. When overcome with grief, it’s so helpful to have something to rely on to guide you through. Go Lantern!

I am a transplant hepatologist (a liver doctor) and am very glad that this product/company exists. As a doctor this is my least favorite discussion to have with my patients, but it is so important. I have recommended this product to several social workers at my hospital as well, because it’s approachable and user friendly. On a personal note, I have also recommended it to friends who have reached out to me when they were struggling with how to discuss end of life issues with other friends (we are in our 30s). I find Lantern’s approach to be both sensitive and practical. I would absolutely recommend.
