Landy: World's first AI real estate buyer's agent: commission-free!

The Landy story began with a personal challenge; finding and purchasing a property near Nashville which I have blogged about: https://medium.com/@brycegalen/r... My overall vision is rooted in the belief that the real estate is fundamentally going to change as a result of high-stakes legal battles across the US and Canada (https://edition.cnn.com/2023/11/...) and the transaction process can be greatly improved through technology, particularly AI and LLMs. The product is built with Python/Django and utilizes the OpenAI Assistants API, along with several other APIs to actually send the offers to sellers and their agents. I've incorporated a library of XML templates to model various regional contract versions and the system tracks the redlines, versions, and e-signatures for these documents as offers and counteroffers are made. Integrating live MLS data for the Nashville area was an initial step towards realizing our vision, so I've also built a search interface, but the data that Zillow has is much more comprehensive (most all of US & Canada) and I don't think innovating on search for now is a good first value prop, so in the midst of building it, I pivoted towards the offer/counteroffer experience with a handoff to a local attorney for closing. As AI and LLMs continue to evolve, I anticipate a future where AI agents play an even greater role in real estate transactions, offering increasingly personalized guidance, and insights based on more data and computer vision. Hopefully Landy.ai is a step towards this future, leveraging current AI capabilities to bring a functional MVP into private beta while staying attuned to the rapid advancements in the field.
