By leveraging Spark's widespread adoption and offering seamless compatibility, we aim to make Sail easily accessible to a broad user base. We're deeply committed to enabling smooth transitions from existing tech stacks, ensuring an effortless experience for our users. 🚣 Our Journey My co-founder, Heran, and I started LakeSail a little over a year ago, initially focusing on offering a managed Apache Flink service. At the beginning of this year, we were on the verge of launching our service, but we couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. Then we had an epiphany: there was a glaring gap in the market — no solution unified Big Data processing with AI workloads. We shelved our managed Flink service, pivoted to begin building Sail, and haven't looked back since.
