Lagoon AI is an AI-powered tabletop RPG platform where you can create persistent characters, explore solo or multiplayer campaigns, conquer dungeons, earn rewards, collect items, and build adventures that remember your choices.
The character persistence actually works well, my rogue remembered a grudge against a merchant three sessions later which made the next encounter way more fun. Co-op mode felt a bit clunky when more than two people jumped in though.
Love the idea of persistent characters, that alone sets it apart. One thing that would really help long campaigns is a built-in journal or lore log that auto-tracks key NPCs, locations, and plot threads as you play, so you can actually remember what happened three sessions ago without digging through chat history.
Tried it solo for a quick dungeon run and the way it actually remembered my inventory and earlier choices between sessions caught me off guard in a good way.
Love how the persistent characters and dungeon rewards actually carry weight across sessions, makes solo campaigns feel like they have real momentum instead of resetting each time.
A dungeon master AI mode would be amazing so one player can actually run the table while the others play, with the AI handling NPCs and descriptions in real time.
honestly the persistence is what got me, like my character actually remembered choices from last session which is kind of rare for solo play. wish the dungeon combat had a bit more guidance though.
