@scottwall0 I *strongly* disagree with this sentiment. If there's anything this community could benefit from, it is in understanding products that actually gain mass appeal, real traction, and make real money. Every time I see a chrome extension, or a website that bundles services for startups, or another emoji / gif / keyboard app I become less and less interested in what this community values.

@sammybauch Dude...it is an app about herself. Period. It isn't an app changing the world, it isn't an app providing a direct benefit other than to engage and proliferate her ego / self-worth. It seems you are contradicting yourself because you strongly disagree with Scott's viewpoint based on your own personal reasoning, yet you then turnaround and use that same reasoning to justify your disliking the current direction PH is taking. Spending 3 years working on an app that solves a critical need within the research community outweighs every aspect of what she (or who she paid) created. At the end of the day, I choose to support products and services which enhance human life - this does not.
@alanaut24 IDK what you're talking about with "Spending three years...", but whatever the result of that work is would be a product I would be interested in seeing on PH, sure. I don't believe I've contradicted myself. Scott offered an opinion that a product "shouldn't be on PH", for absolutely absurd reasons, whereas I think lots of products belong on PH. My opinion is that if this community continues to upvote the products that *only this community would use*, then I am no longer interested in what this community thinks. If the PH community chooses a certain group of products as the "top", and there is no correlation between what PH chooses and what the rest of the world ultimately uses, then to me PH is worthless and will have a difficult time turning the community into a business. If the PH community ignores a product because, and ultimately this is whats going on here, they feel like non-techies are encroaching on their sacred white male space, then I definitely don't want to be a part of PH. You're free to support whatever products you see fit. The question is whether you think discussing an app like this, with objectivity, is a worthwhile exercise for the PH community. I believe it is. You seem to disagree.
Besides the fact that I find Kardashian family apps pointless, I find it interesting that this app uses a design and color scheme that is VERY similar to Tidal Music.

Kendal, Kim and Khloe also launched apps yesterday. Mashable had great coverage on their Snapchat account, which you can watch here https://vid.me/qFhy

I find her and her family insanely creepy.

@stttories lol. I don't think they realize that people are not following them because they like them but rather because they see it as a quick way to get famous.
