KraftoCart was inspired by the realization that traditional handicrafts—despite being deeply rooted in our culture—are slowly disappearing due to the rise of mass-produced, plastic-based products and the lack of market access for local artisans. I noticed that while people still appreciate authentic handmade items, factors like high prices, limited availability, and poor visibility have pushed them toward factory-made alternatives. This project aims to solve these problems by creating a digital platform that connects artisans directly with customers, eliminates middlemen, and makes genuine handcrafted products easily accessible and affordable. For the launch, my approach focuses on building a simple, user-friendly website, onboarding local artisans, curating quality products, and promoting the platform through social media and storytelling to highlight the value behind each craft. The goal is not just to sell products, but to revive traditions, support livelihoods, and create a meaningful shopping experience.
