Hey guys! 👋 I'm Jan, co-founder of Kotse. Super excited to be here on Product Hunt with y'all!! As road-trippers and tourists in our own cities, we wanted to solve our own frustrations of finding short term parking and having to reschedule or cancel plans because we couldn’t find any. This happens commonly in Southern California, as cities are primarily run by cars instead of public transportation. That's why we made Kotse: a mobile app that allows tourists to rent locally owned driveways. We built our MVP of Kotse in 3 months and will continue to iterate on it with this awesome community's help! You can create your own listing and make your own reservations scheduled at that time or in advance. We're just getting started and have plenty of things on our product roadmap. Some of our immediate goals are to implement listing verification, a liability protection plan, and also the ability to extend your reservation. We’re long term users of Craigslist, Reddit, and Facebook where there are countless communities, threads, and forums that are dedicated to renting out parking spaces near schools, beaches, big events, and popular tourist and commuter destinations. We’ve seen hacky solutions “work” on big platforms such as Neighbor that are intended for long-term rentals, but are not streamline or safe. As early adopters of our competitors' platforms, we understand the pain points and of both guests and hosts. We plan to address these shortcomings and build upon the current state of consumer-to-consumer parking and will continue to release updates on here. Stay tuned 🤗
