When I returned from the Gulf, I lost track of my expenses, and I was doubting myself every day when I woke up. If I could pass this day with the bills I should pay. What are the upcoming expenses, and what will I do if I run out of money? Then I started a habit of writing down every expense in a diary, and then in an Excel sheet. That became hard to manage when there are different categories of expenses and are needed for upcoming payments. So I came up with this plan (not a new idea) to build an app for this.
Spent some time learning about Dart, Firebase, and Node.js, and started building Kosh, my personal finance companion.
Kosh can help me add my income and expenses manually or pull transactions from Notification or SMS, whichever I feel like doing. Kosh shows where my money goes. This has been helping me for some time now, so I thought, why don't we make it public? And now it is available on Google Play, and I am working on building an iOS version of the same. Since I am using dart and Flutter, is won't take much effort do launch on iOS.
That's coming soon.
