Hi Product Hunt, I'm Geoff, and I make Kords from the UK. I built it because I wanted dictation that doesn't watch me.
Kords types what you said, not what an AI thinks you meant. Talk in any Mac app and your words appear at your cursor, tidied up or exactly as you said them. Your audio is turned into text on our server, then discarded. We never keep your audio or words.
The fun part is Kordies. Kordy is our orange robot, and there are 66 Kordies to unlock as your words add up to something famous, from a haiku at 12 words to The Hobbit at 95,000.
Free is 2,000 words a week. Students pay £44 a year with a verified uni (.ac.uk) email, or get 15% off monthly Solo (the two don't stack). Everyone can try Solo free for 30 days with no card: sign in to the app, then enter kords-launch at kords.app/account by Tue 17 Nov.
Honest limits: Mac only (macOS 14 or later), closed source, and it needs an account and the internet.
