Kolibri beats Qwen2 635B, Nemotron 3 Super and Mistral Small 4.

Stoked to be hunting Aleph Alpha's newest open-source AI model, which puts Europe back into the AI race after a significant amount of time has passed since Mistral's last small open-source model launch. Kolibri shines on tasks in English and German. In Aleph Alpha's evaluations Kolibri scores 96.9% on AIME 2025 and 84.3% on GPQA Diamond. You can try it out for free within xprivo.com where you just need to switch to "Kolibri" in the model selector and can start testing it. Find the training details, complete benchmark and results in Aleph Alpha's latest blog article here.
Kolibri comes with four reasoning levels: none (no reasoning), low (reasons a little bit), medium (reasons much more) and high (reasons extremely detailled and for much longer, perfect for demanding complex tasks).
Finally, but tbh it unfortunately doesn't quite keep up with the absolute cutting-edge frontier models out there right now, but it's still a really solid model and I have a ton of admiration for what the Aleph Alpha team pulled off for Europe's AI ecosystem. I also like that it's quite efficient to run. I hope they will drop something even better soon and won't give up
