Why did we build KOCARD?

For creators, capturing photos and videos is only the beginning. What happens afterward can be just as time-consuming: backing up footage, moving files between devices, checking that transfers are complete, managing storage space, and getting media ready for editing or sharing.

These tasks often involve a mix of card readers, external drives, file management apps, cloud services, and editing tools. We wanted to bring more of that process together in a connected workflow, especially for creators who shoot on the go and need to manage their media without always relying on a laptop.

That's why we're building KOCARD, combining our mobile storage hardware with an app designed around the way creators actually work.

What can you do with KOCARD?

Back up and sync media: Smart Album Sync helps transfer photos and videos from your phone's library to a designated storage destination, with content filters and transfer progress tracking.

Verify file transfers: Hash Verification compares source and destination file hashes to help check that transferred files match their originals. For creators working with important footage, knowing what was copied matters as much as knowing that a transfer finished.

Manage video storage: Smart Transcoding converts compatible videos to HEVC 10-bit formats, helping creators manage file sizes for storage and sharing.

Move files across storage destinations: Transfer media between compatible devices, external SSDs, NAS, and supported third-party cloud platforms, depending on your setup and available app features.

Spend less time sorting media: AI-powered photo curation and editing tools can help with photo selection, organization, and supported editing tasks.

Bring storage into your mobile workflow: Our PSSD combines built-in SSD storage with dual SD/TF card slots, helping reduce the number of separate accessories creators need to carry. With compatible devices and setups, the app and hardware can work together as part of the same workflow.

KOCARD isn't designed around just one drive or one way of working. We want creators to have more flexibility in how they back up, manage, and move their media.
