Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Ekrem, the creator of KoBar. The Inspiration & Problem: As a UI/UX and motion designer, my workflow is heavily "multi-threaded." I constantly jump between different creative tasks, tools, and ideas. I needed a desktop utility that could keep up with a non-linear, curiosity-driven workflow without forcing me into rigid systems or vendor lock-ins. Existing widgets were either too basic or required heavy, bloated setups. The Solution: I built KoBar out of personal necessity: a modular, always-on-top "Swiss Army Knife" for the desktop. It snaps horizontally or vertically, seamlessly adapts to multi-monitor setups, and houses everything from an AI Hub to quick utility panels right where you need them. The Evolution: What started as a personal utility hack has rapidly evolved into a scalable open-source project. Over the recent updates, we transitioned to a dedicated GitHub Organization, welcomed active contributors, and established a transparent fiscal host via Open Collective. We are strictly prioritizing quality, versatility, and community-driven development. I am thrilled to share our latest v1.0.24 release with you today.
