Klyro combines AI chat powered by OpenAI models, cited web search, image understanding, and image generation in one cohesive app. Instead of confusing tiers or unlimited-usage claims, it estimates credit costs before each action, reserves them, and then settles actual usage transparently. One monthly balance works across Chat, Search, Vision, and Images.

I built Klyro because everyday AI tools often make cost and usage difficult to understand. I wanted one approachable workspace for chat, cited web search, image understanding, and image generation—with the expected credit cost visible before an action runs.

Klyro was built with Next.js and deployed on Vercel. The most important technical challenge was the credit lifecycle: estimate usage, reserve credits safely, run the request, and settle the actual cost afterward. That keeps concurrent requests accurate and makes usage transparent.

The result is a single cohesive experience with Fast, Smart, and Deep modes instead of exposing a confusing list of raw models. Klyro uses OpenAI models behind the scenes to power the AI experience.

The credit estimation idea is really thoughtful, makes the whole experience feel way less sketchy than other AI apps. One thing that would be a nice addition is letting users set a monthly spending cap with a simple toggle, so if someone wants to stay under a certain amount they can just turn it on and not worry about surprise charges.
