the toddler use case is honestly pretty practical. I can see this being useful whenever kids are watching something and inevitably start pressing random keys.

@rahul_manjhi1 Thanks Rahul! That is exactly the scenario it was built for. One tap before the show starts and the random key presses go nowhere, while the video keeps playing.
The dark overlay sounds useful for me when cleaning the display itself. I’d probably find it easier to spot fingerprints and dust against a darker screen.

@new_user___239202661f5491a9e0f4b0f Thanks Jamie! That is exactly why the overlay exists. Smudges and dust are much easier to spot on a dark screen, and you can pick how dark it goes in Settings.
The dark overlay makes sense for screen cleaning too I’d probably turn that on every time I clean the display.

@david_murray11 Thanks David! You can leave Clean Screen switched on in Settings and the dark overlay will come up on its own every time you start a session, so it is one tap for both the keys and the display.
I like that this doesn’t try to do ten different things It basically solves one annoying problem and stays out of the way.

@bouzadamanuel0934 Thanks Manuel! That is the goal. No Dock icon, no menu bar clutter, it just sits in the notch until you need it and gets out of the way when you are done.
i like the double tap to unlock because it gives me a simple physical action to remember instead of searching through menus when I’m finished.

@kimberly_west Thanks Kimberly! That was the idea, a gesture your hands remember instead of a button you have to go looking for. Double tap the trackpad and you are back to normal.
