I've been consulting for the dating industry for the last 10+ years, and I've personally used over 250 dating apps. Kippo stood out to me because it's the first app I've encountered that features not just full-fledged dating profiles but also the availability of realtime chat within its little metaverse. Most dating apps feel fairly static and asynchronous, but Kippo actually made it possible to feel some genuine signs of life and activity. I'm not fully convinced that using Kippo will lead anyone to an IRL date per se, but it certainly provides a novel experience, and some very unique profiles, the likes of which you won't find on most other dating apps out there. For instance, profile cards include things like MBTI, horoscopes, harry potter house, favorite video games, and favorite animes, along with traditional bios and photos.
