Most plant apps hand you the species average: water the monstera every seven days. Kipos asks where your plant actually lives, what light it gets and what it is potted in, then builds the schedule from that. Daily tasks, reminders, photo history, growth phase. iPhone only.

What I wanted was to see my own plants as data. Not a feed of tips, not a species encyclopedia. How long since this one was watered, what its history actually looks like, whether it is growing or whether I just think it is. Nothing I tried would show me that, so that is what Kipos is built around.
Most plant apps schedule by species. They tell you to water a monstera every seven days, which is the species average, and they never ask whether your flat faces north, whether the pot has a drainage hole, or how warm you keep the room. So the schedule is correct for a plant that is not yours. Kipos asks first: you add a real plant before you see anything else, and then it asks about that plant. Those answers produce a watering cadence, a feeding schedule and a light target for it specifically, and the plan arrives as daily tasks with reminders.
The rest grew out of using it. A camera scan for the ones I could not name. A history per plant with photos, so I could check whether the new leaf was actually bigger or whether I just wanted it to be. A growth phase you set by hand, seedling through to fruiting, deliberately free of any photo analysis, because marking the moment should not cost an API call. And a balance score that looks at the whole collection and points out that seven of my plants want the same light and nothing wants shade.
Two things to be upfront about. It is iPhone only and will be for a while. And it is a subscription with a 14-day trial and no permanent free tier, because I would rather charge for the app than sell plant photos or bury it in upsells.
