A group of former IoT colleagues came together to build a dead simple way for families to connect through the TV. Hopefully, this is even more useful now, especially when trying to ensure the safety or elderly loved ones who live far away.

Love this concept- very timely and applicable to nursing homes during COVID. May be worth considering patient privacy (big reason why tools like Facebook Portal, Google Nest Hub, etc. aren't as welcomed as tools like facetime). Would be interesting if the webcam has a physical cover for privacy. Price does seem a bit high- thought the 1yr of "free" subscription does know the effective cost down a tad. Thought about the button- it is rather small and seems easy for a senior citizen or busy parent to lose. Definite opportunity to create accessories to keep the button safe (lanyard, maybe a bigger version of the button?)
