Stay away! This product has a ton of crazy shit in it. Left me sick for three days. It contains 5HTP which is this chemical ingredient that is designed to increase your serotonin levels. Side effects of 5HTP include heartburn, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, drowsiness, nightmares, and muscle problems. It's a balance of uppers and downers. Don't be misled by their trendy branding and millennial speak, this product has some serious ingredients that can mess with your mood and body.

I was skeptical at first and pretty amazed when this product delivered what it promised. Just try it and see for your self - trust me!

Pros:

Everything you want from alcohol - set a vibe, raise the move, stimulate great conversation - with none of the downsides.

Cons:

Would be curious to try more flavors or different formats.

So much of culture revolves around alcohol, a social lubricant that brings people together but sometimes many people don't want to drink. I used to skip on many parties or nights out in college because I didn't want to sip on a beer and yell over terrible music at the local pub. 😆 Excited to see Kin shipping (my order arrives soon – disclaimer: I'm in investor) and other alcohol alternatives like Recess enter the market.

I am all for the exploration of alcohol alternatives, but the inclusion of Phenibut surprises, and worries, me. I would think that there are safer, better documented alternatives on the market that create similar outcomes, such as mushroom extracts or CBD.

@andreasduess thanks for the feedback Andreas! You'll be glad to hear our nightcap (formula 2) will feature a beautiful blend of reishi mushroom, passionflower, and melatonin. Our sweet spot is finding where eastern herbal applications meet western compounds to facilitate specific feelings (vs flavors) safely and with precision. Phenibut is certainly the most provocative of the bunch and it's great to see the discussion unfold here. We are confident we've dosed this appropriately and have seen great results with the synergistics of this ingredient, along with the buffer nutrients and adaptogens it is stacked against, with this precaution in mind. CBD was a schedule 1 drug at the time of our initial r&d and formulation of Kin High Rhode, and not the right tool for the job besides. It would be better if it did anything. I paid $39.00 for a bottle of crap. I’m an avid drinker and after reading reviews (which had to be fake) I had to try this stuff. I ordered it and after about 3 weeks plus it finally came in. It says don’t drink more than 4. I drank all 4 and felt exactly the same as I did before I drank them. Don’t waste your money as this product is 100% fake. It does nothing except take your money.

We love Kin at Listen Bar! As New York’s first booze-free bar, we’re always on the hunt for the best products to showcase on our menu and Kin is one of the stars of our cocktails. It lives up to its euphoric promise and adds a nice aromatic complexity to any drink. Must try!
