Love the concept. You can buy reservations at great restaurants at the perfect time (around 8 / 8:30 PM) at the last minute. The design is nice. I have a couple of questions regarding how it actually works...most importantly, why only one weekend in advance? For example, this could be helpful with planning for Valentine's Day.

@corleyh How is this different than Resy and Reserve? Seems very similar.
@gizboz1 Fair. I actually think it is more like Table8 and Resy. Reserve has the additional element of rating the service and paying for the bill. I think this space is crowded - for sure. But I still like the concept. Someone will nail it. Do you have a favorite @gizboz1?

@corleyh I agree that there is room in this space for someone to win. I am partial to Resy. I know the company and you could not have a stronger team or better executed product. So, my bet is on them.
@gizboz1@corleyh to be fair I totally see the problem for consumer but I'm still not clear on the value for restaurant. If they're totally booked, why use one of these services for a few extra bucks on a reservation. I'm not convinced that restaurant really gets a ton of upside. Plus, how large is this market really?
@gizboz1 - good to know. I'll spend some more time playing around with their app.
@vivekmgeorge - restaurant margins are so tight, couldn't you see this being an additional revenue stream? In which case Reserve is adding more value to the restaurants, not just consumers.

Lead iOS dev for @Resy here. There’s definitely a lot of activity going on in the space with similar and complimentary services that can work on top of or with each other.
@vivekmgeorge restaurants, especially popular ones, wont always put their full book on a service like Open Table. They’ll hold aside prime tables for walk ins and special guests. With a service like @Resy, restaurants can use these tables to reach new customers that hate hassling for a reservation. This gives the restaurant an opportunity to build a relationship with a diner who may have otherwise gone somewhere else because of long waits or having to plan long in advance for a resy.
@Corleyh one of the big differences is the source of the reservation on @Resy, all of our reservations are provided by the restaurants we partner with. No scalpers. No waiting for responses. Just great tables at great restaurants in two taps; instantly confirmed. We also allow you to rate a restaurant’s service, but only once you have booked.
@Gizboz1 Thanks for the support!
