Hi all,
I built a custom iOS keyboard that translates text as I type, right inside any app (WhatsApp, Instagram, Notes, you name it). I created it because I kept having awkwardly slow chats in German with some old friends. I’m not fluent, so I'd constantly jump between the convo and Google Translate like I was speedrunning alt-tab. Now I just type in English, hit a button above the keyboard, and boom - German.
I know there are some other apps that do this, but they’re either kinda pricey or they send everything to the Google Translate API. I wasn’t thrilled about that. Key Lingo runs offline, keeps things private, and stores all dictionaries locally — no cloud snooping.
