Kern Word Puzzles: Three word games, one fair score, eighteen living worlds

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Blaine, and I make Kern by myself. I play a lot of word games, and most of the ones on my phone want something from me: an ad between every level, a coin shop, an energy meter, an account. I wanted one I could just play on a plane. Kern has three modes. Wheel: swipe a letter wheel to fill a small crossword. Search: a word search where the hidden words come from the world you're playing in, so an Ocean board hides ocean words. Chain: drag through neighboring tiles and find whatever words you can. The part I care about most is the scoring. Every puzzle gets a par, worked out by a solver when the board is generated. Reaching par is worth 10,000 points, and speed can add up to 1,000 more. The formula is the same in every mode, world and level, so nothing you pick can buy points. That's why one daily leaderboard can cover all three modes. The daily puzzles are seeded from the date, so everyone gets the same boards and no server is involved. The clock only runs while the board is actually on screen. There are eighteen worlds, ten of them seasonal. Each one has its own generated music and reacts to what you spell. There are no ads, no in-app purchases and no accounts, and nothing leaves your device except Game Center scores you decide to post.
