KeptPix compresses, converts, and resizes images entirely in your browser — your files never leave your device. Hit an exact size (20KB, 100KB, or whatever a form demands), convert iPhone HEIC to JPG, or strip EXIF/GPS metadata — all without uploading anything. No accounts, no file caps, no ads. Open your browser's network tab and watch nothing happen, or turn off Wi-Fi and it still works. Built for the millions whose exam, visa, or job portal rejected their photo for being the wrong size.

Hey PH 👋 I built KeptPix after watching people upload their Aadhaar cards and passport scans to random websites just to squeeze a photo under 20KB for a government form. Every tool that does this uploads your file to a server and shows you three ads. KeptPix does it all in your browser — the file never leaves your device, which you can verify by opening the network tab or just turning off your Wi-Fi. The fun engineering part: hitting an EXACT size (not a quality slider) is a small search problem, and doing it client-side led to a real memory-optimization rabbit hole. It's free, open source (AGPL), and never uploads anything. Write-up: https://dev.to/saisharan2000 — happy to answer anything!
