Kept: A private voice journal for the people closest to you

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I built Kept because I kept doing the same thing. Someone would tell me something that mattered, a scan coming up, a job interview, a parent not doing well, and three weeks later I'd see them and have nothing. I hadn't stopped caring. I'd just stopped holding it. Most personal CRMs solve this with forms and fields, which is the one thing a forgetful person will never keep up with. They turn into another to-do list you fail at. Kept is voice-first instead. You say one thing out loud after you see someone, in the car or walking home, and it pulls out the details and hands them back before you see that person next. Nine seconds of talking, no typing. Two constraints I've held onto: - It's private. No feed, no followers, no social graph. Nobody sees what you keep. - It's not a CRM. The moment it feels like admin, it has failed. It's also built on published research about how relationships actually decay rather than on vibes. Roughly half a personal network turns over every seven years, and closeness to friends drops steadily once regular contact stops while family stays flat. Every claim on the site links to its source, because I didn't want to invent behavioural science to sell an app. Android for now. Honest about where it's early: it's a young app and the resurfacing is the part I'm still tuning.
