Turn any idea Into an app

KB Labs breaks down apps down into "lego building blocks" and gets them built for a fair, transparent, component-by-component price. Our app lets you turn your idea into a shopping list of components that can then be spec'd and scoped out easily.

What do you think? …

Mmm not to be mean but, I'm not sure this belongs here? It's just an agency that sell overpriced landing pages. I don't see any innovation.

@mrdobelina Hi Filippo, thanks for the feedback on our landing page β€” we could definitely do a better job of communicating our product. Please see my post below.

Hi PH, We built KB Labs to solve the problem of non-technical users having a difficult time getting an app built. You can get a quote from dozens of agencies and contractors, but the price will often be capricious and arbitrary. We believe the solution to this is to have component-based pricing. Because we deal specifically with the idea -> prototype stage, all apps are basically a mix of about 15-20 components β€” map integration, marketplace, live messaging, payments, etc. This lets us price each item pretty much formulaically, so the user can pay on a more transparent, per-feature basis. We've built a pricing calculator that lets you, in a dozen taps, get a more or less accurate estimate. This is barring any extremely anomalous exceptions that we haven't anticipated, but that's the great thing β€” most prototypes need roughly the same things. The calculator is still a WIP which we'll iterate on and improve over time. In addition to pricing, our focus on prototyping and our component-based model of development means we can get things built faster. Based on the 15-20 components that the vast majority of prototypes are made of, we have a reusable framework/toolkit that allows our network of developers to easily mix and match basic components into an app, with minimal tweaking to meet each app's specific needs.
