Hi Product Hunt, I'm Caner. I build small add-ons for Google Workspace on my own.
Google Docs and Google Slides have no built-in accessibility checker, so teachers, university staff and public agencies end up checking by hand or exporting to Word first. Accessibility Checker runs inside Docs and Slides. It checks against WCAG 2.1 AA (alt text, headings, colour contrast, lists, link text, tables, slide titles and reading order), explains each issue in plain language, and fixes many of them in one click. It can also export a Google Doc as a tagged PDF prepared for PDF/UA.
What it can't do: it can't tell whether your alt text is any good, and in Slides it doesn't judge contrast for text over pictures. The free plan covers checking; Pro adds Fix all and more tagged PDFs.
Your documents stay in Google. The add-on only contacts my licence server to check your plan.
I'd love feedback, especially from people who publish accessible documents for a living: what does your current checker miss?
