@radica_vuckova Sure! 1. Kanso is targeted towards people that are trying to learn Japanese and get a grasp of the most important aspects of the language quickly. My long term vision for the app is that it will be a core resource for all Japanese learners, regardless of skill level. The current courses are more geared towards beginners but intermediate and advanced courses will be coming very soon. 2. The lessons flow in the order of complexity. Introductory topics are introduced in the beginning such as foundational grammar and vocabulary, with more advanced topics being introduced later. Each course has several lessons that expand upon the core topic. Although courses are arranged in a particular sequence, they don't have to be taken in that order. Unlike some other popular applications, users are free to hop around and take courses that particularly interest them if they please. 3. I was basically scratching my own itch. I wanted to continue to expand my knowledge of the Japanese language, so I looked through the AppStore to find something that might help. What I found were apps that were either poorly designed or lacked quality course material. Because of this, I decided to create a better experience not only for myself but anyone else that might be struggling to find a good learning resource that they can carry around in their pockets. I've always wanted to learn Japanese, but never successfully got past the very basics. I'm interested to learn what you think the unnecessary fluff of something like Duolingo would be, and how the Kanso way is different?

@sgoudie Duolingo has a Japanese course but it wasn't created in such a way that allows users to learn new concepts with ease. Neither does it give users the linguistic tools necessary to start building their own sentences with confidence. Kansō tries to address this issue by giving the user meaningful vocabulary that is relevant to their daily life from the beginning, and it explains the essence of key grammatical concepts that are essential for sentence construction and mastery of the fundamentals. The whole process is simplified to show that traditionally complex topics can be learned and applied relatively early while simultaneously giving the user information that they can use from day 1.

Hey Product Hunters! As a Japanese learner, one of the biggest things I struggled with in the beginning was figuring out how to start and what to learn first. I created Kanso to help solve that problem. It gives the learner a clear roadmap of the most important concepts necessary for a solid foundation in the language. The app takes the learning process slow and easy and uses repetition for reinforcement. Even after just 1 hour of using it, I've felt like I'm already making progress.

Pros:

It's simplicity and effectiveness for learning Japanese

Cons:

There's a few small bugs, but I've contacted the Maker about it and he's already fixing them.
