kAIboard is the first Android keyboard that switches language automatically when you open a chat, based on your contact's phone prefix. No manual switching. You open a conversation, the keyboard is already set. 14 languages including Russian, Ukrainian, Greek and Georgian, with offline autocorrect, word prediction, and two translation modes: free on-device and optional AI cloud. Built for expats and polyglots. Privacy-first: all typing stays on device. Open testing on Google Play.

Hey everyone! I'm Alessandro, founder of kAIboard, based in Germany, originally from Italy.
I built kAIboard because I was frustrated by a problem that millions of multilingual people face daily: manually switching keyboard language every time you open a different chat.
I text my family in Italian, colleagues in German, friends in English and Spanish — and every single time I had to tap the globe icon, pick the right language, and hope autocorrect wouldn't mess up the first few words.
So I built a keyboard that reads the contact's phone prefix (+39 = Italian, +49 = German, +33 = French…) and switches layout automatically in about 65 milliseconds. No manual switching needed.
I also added two translation modes — free offline translation (ML Kit) and optional AI translation (GPT-4o-mini) — so you can write in your language and send in theirs with a long-press on Enter.
The app is currently in open testing on Google Play. I'd love feedback from anyone who uses 2+ languages daily.
What would make this more useful for you?
