I remember when JWPlayer was just a script you used to embed videos in your site - you hosted them, you controlled them. Although it is understandable, given the rise of HTML5 video killing off the need for libraries offering skinned players, this new direction for JWPlayer puts it in competition with Youtube and Vimeo, and as a developer, I can't justify the costs of JWPlayer compared to Vimeo - their 'plus' tier occupies a space between the JW Free and Premium tiers, and Vimeo's 'pro' tier blows the JWPlayer premium tier away for half the price ...
