How did Astra change the scope or ambition of what you built?

I built Just Catching Up in four days, exclusively with Astra in Codex, while working my day job in parallel. Doing this otherwise would have been unimaginable. Astra made it possible to aim for a complete, deployed product instead of stopping at a prototype. The result is a private social network for friends and family: mutual connections, invitation-only spaces, photos and videos, a chronological feed that ends, and monthly or yearly subscriptions. No ads or engagement tricks. Astra helped with product decisions, architecture, implementation, copy, tests and deployment. Its computer use was especially valuable: it worked through third-party service dashboards, helped configure infrastructure and billing, and tested browser flows. That covered Cloudflare, Railway, PlanetScale, Bunny and Creem. I could focus on what the product should feel like and make decisions while Astra carried out the work. Four days alongside a day job went from an impossible timeline to a public working app.
