This functionality isn't implemented currently. Do you think it's a must-have to edit the title/topic of notes?
Jotlog actually had this feature at one point. Starting out jotlog was more of a "feature-complete" note-taking app -> it had editing, renaming, reordering, styling etc. but I cut all of that to create a note app just for jotting stuff down. Like my idea is basically if the notes are worth keeping - export them and edit them somewhere else.

Excited to share jotlog ✍️ a streamlined note-taking app I created out of personal necessity.
Sometimes the best ideas strike at the most inconvenient times, like during a workout, while doing chores or when spending time with your loved ones. Jotlog is my solution to capture those fleeting thoughts. Traditional apps like Notion or Google Keep often led me down a rabbit hole of excessive interactions and distractions.
jotlog is quick to start, easy to use, and keeps distractions at bay – exactly what I wanted. While it's certainly tailored to my workflow, I believe many fellow builders will find its simplicity refreshing.

This app will allow me to quickly write down my ideas before they escape my mind, which happened way too often before! Thanks🙏

Congrats Philipp on the launch of Jotlog. This sounds like an amazing and revolutionary way to take notes, allowing you to write them fast, privately and offline - so great for quickly jotting down ideas and thoughts without worrying about privacy or connection! All the best with this awesome product.
WOW! Congrats! No more waiting for the note-taking app to load pages! And no more worries about my notes not being saved successfully due to network issues!
@piao_chen yeah, loading time kills me everytime, and even if your connection is great, those 4 to 5 interactions needed are so distracting and feel slow af 😵💫

Really easy to navigate, and yet professional. I love this
@sentry_co great point, André! Tbh I probably would have used it if I was more proficient in it. I've recently started picking it up for VisionOS dev and love it but my skills are just not there yet.
Another thing is I wanted to support Android, and have no plans to pick up native Android dev, so that's why React Native kinda felt like a no-brainer.
@philipp_parzer SwiftUI is so elegant tho. You can write 1/10th of the react code and have the same result. Dont know about android. But if you find PMF with iOS. Scaling to android isn't an issue. You just leverage the PMF. Also remember we have AI coding now. So you can pretty much just code in swiftUI and have AI translate it to kotlin for you.
@sentry_co you're right, but this was gonna be a quick weekend project, didn't even consider PMF, just wanted to reach Android and iOS quick + try out Expo Application Services for future client projects
if I'm ever gonna build a "real"/monetized app I'll probably just use SwiftUI for PMF and focus on Android later
