@hjbuilds Love the simplicity. I'm an analog journalist myself, where slowness is a feature. But if I were journaling digitally, I'd want it really fast like this. Funny how the medium dictates our expectations
@tylerdane That's a sharp way to put it — and it made me look at where the friction sits.
Paper is instant to open; the slowness lives in the writing, which is the good part.
Digital apps put it backwards: slow to open, fast to type.
I mostly wanted to move the friction back to where paper has it.
Do you carry the notebook everywhere, or is it more of a desk ritual?

@tylerdane's point about the medium setting our expectations has stuck with me: paper is instant to open and slow to write, and most digital tools have that backwards.
And the launches I spent time in today — Occasio, Compass, Famori — gave me more than the numbers did. That part I didn't expect.
